• Automatic plant watering system

Concept: The project aims to create an automatic plant watering system that uses an Arduino board to monitor the moisture level of the soil and water the plant as needed. The system includes a moisture sensor, RGB LED, relay, 16x2 LCD display, and a pump.

 

Working Method:

 

1.            The moisture sensor and RGB LED are connected to the Arduino board, along with the relay and pump.

2.            The Arduino board is programmed to read the moisture level of the soil using the moisture sensor.

3.            The Arduino board compares the moisture level to a pre-set value, which is displayed on the 16x2 LCD display and indicated by the color of the RGB LED.

4.            If the moisture level is below the pre-set value, the Arduino board activates the relay connected to the pump, which pumps water to the plant until the moisture level reaches the pre-set value.

5.            The system also includes a timer that controls the frequency and duration of watering, to ensure that the plant does not become overwatered.

6.            The 16x2 LCD display displays the status of the system, including the moisture level, the watering schedule, and any error messages.

7.            The RGB LED changes color to indicate the status of the system, such as green for normal moisture levels, blue for watering in progress, and red for errors.

8.            The system can also include a backup battery or power supply to ensure that the plant watering system continues to operate even if there is a power outage
